Immaculate Heart of Mary

Glory to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for creating Mary, for her Immaculate Conception, for sustaining her with your grace and your angels, for overshadowing her so that God would become incarnate, so as to be the propitiation for our sins, and also to reveal the Father, and the Father's love for us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary
Thank you Jesus for giving Mary to be our Mother while you were in your agony for our sins on the cross.
Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for crowning Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.
Thank you for the dignity that comes from being children of God, helped into closer union with your Son by Mary, our Mother, and Queen!

From A Heart Like His by Thomas D. Williams
Like Jesus, Mary's heart was pure, undivided, compassionate, merciful, patient, courageous. . . . No one mirrored Jesus' heart the way Mary did, and no one was more anxious to bring others to him than she was--and still is.

The Church reminds us of the singular union that exists between Mary and her son, especially through these back-to-back feasts.

Friday was the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and Saturday was the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  This happens again in September, when we celebrate on the 14th, the Exaltation of the Cross, and the next day is dedicated to Mary's sharing in the passion as Mother of Sorrows. . . . .

Dearest Mary, thank you for your faithfulness to God's call.  Thank you for embracing the angel Gabriel's message of salvation and agreeing to become the mother of the Redeemer.  Thank you for staying true to God throughout your life and accompanying Jesus all the way through his passion.  You are a model for me, as well as being my dear mother, given to me by Jesus from the cross.  Hold my hand as I try to do the same.  Intercede for me, and pray that my heart may grow daily more like your Son's.

Jesus, we all need intercessors, and we all need models of what it means to follow you.  Thank you for the treasure of your saints, and especially for the Queen of Heaven, your mother Mary.  Because she humbled herself as the "handmaid of the Lord," you exalted her.  Let me imitate her heart, so that I may also become more like you.

OUR LADY'S LATEST MESSAGES FROM MEDJUGORJE
July 2, 2011
"Dear children; today I call you to a difficult and painful step for your unity with my Son. I call you to complete admission and confession of sins, to purification. An impure heart cannot be in my Son and with my Son. An impure heart cannot give the fruit of love and unity. An impure heart cannot do correct and just things; it is not an example of the beauty of God's love to those who surround it and to those who have not come to know that love. You, my children, are gathering around me full of enthusiasm, desire and expectations, and I implore the Good Father to, through the Holy Spirit, put my Son - faith, into your purified hearts. My children, obey me, set out with me."

Afterwards Mirjana said that as Our Lady left she saw a scene that showed darkness on the left and a cross in golden light on the right. Mirjana said she believed that this was Our Lady's way of showing the difference between a purified and unpurified heart.

Our Lady's message on the 30th Anniversary of her coming in Medjugorje!
June 25, 2011:
"Dear children! Give thanks with me to the Most High for my presence with you. My heart is joyful watching the love and joy in the living of my messages. Many of you have responded, but I wait for, and seek, all the hearts that have fallen asleep to awaken from the sleep of unbelief. Little children, draw even closer to my Immaculate Heart so that I can lead all of you toward eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call."

  2. Welcome Colleen :)
Beautiful post on Our Lady! Have you noticed how strongly worded her messages have been over the past months? You can sense her deep concern over souls in these messages. Thanks for posting them.
