Quick Bytes #20: Education

.

We spend countless hours learning about finance so we don't end up poor.

We spend countless hours learning about our jobs and the skills we need to stay competitive.

We spend countless hours learning the ins and outs of the latest social media craze, touchscreen tablet, or smartphone.

We spend countless hours learning about the intricacies of our hobbies, whatever they may be.

Do we spend the same number of  hours learning about our religion?

    No.

Only today someone told me they like religion ... but it shouldn't be so much that it takes over your life.

    Thanx for the reminder Michael.

    God bless.

  2. Love it.

I too often ask this similar question - to myself more than anyone else - do I spend the same amount of time WITH God as I do with my ipad or social media, etc?

  3. Great question. We actually have an obligation to know our Faith, to study it, to seek understanding of it. That takes time, part of which is spent in prayer and asking God to teach us. All of today's fancy gadgets, most of which I don't have, are good if they are used in the service of drawing ourselves and others closer to God.
