When I was a little girl my dad told me and my brothers and sisters that he abhorred nothing more than lying. Of course this statement came about because we had tried to lie about something unsuccessfully. That lesson has stuck with me all my life.

ReplyDeleteI highly recommend it to everyone. I think it's important that we rid our hearts of all duplicity. Without ridding our hearts of this tendency it's difficult to make spiritual progress.
How very profound. "Let your yes be yes and no be no." I remember as a young boy, I used to follow this teaching like a militant and was so much like that but now having grown up, sometimes I wonder, if am the same anymore.!! Time to be 'born again' in this area, I guess.
